Be optimistic!
Studies show that people with higher optimism have a healthier heart, can ward off diseases, have lower blood pressure and are more likely to participate in healthier activities such as exercise.
Variety is key
Not everyone loves every form of exercise. So stick to what you enjoy and keep it varied as to not get bored of the same thing. Try a new class, train with a friend and keep yourself on your toes!
Brush Up
Brushing teeth too soon after eating or drinking can soften the tooth enamel, especially if you’ve just been consuming acidic foods.
Try a massage!
Massages aren’t just for the muscles. They can help scars fade, and can be more beneficial than lotion or oil.
Pass on the plastic
Repeatedly using plastic water bottles can release chemicals into your water. Why not try a reusable bottle instead? It’s good for you and the planet.
Stay hydrated
Sufficient hydration can play a role in cognitive impairment, but also in levels of energy, alertness, and happiness – affecting your mood!
Small steps into big strides
Successful stretching!
Stretching increases the blood flow to your muscles and helps avoid injuries. Always be sure to perform dynamic stretches before exercise and static stretches after!
Keep on strolling
The average moderately-active person walks approximately 7,500 steps a day, which is the lifetime equivalent of walking around the Earth five times!
Strive for 5!
There are five main components of fitness: the body’s ability to use oxygen, muscular strength, endurance, flexibility and body composition. Obtain all 5 and you can take on anything!
