Convenience protein shakes, ready to mix, have been around for a while now and many people use them for that post workout rest and recovery aid. However, I would NOT recommend using them. The shakes in question tend to use unnatural ingredients and products that your body simply wasn’t made for digesting and utilising. You are far better off pre making a protein packed smoothie from natural sources such as leafy greens, nuts and other healthy alternatives. I personally blend together 2 bananas, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, spinach, kale, peanut butter (palm oil free) with hazelnut milk. It’s delicious and packed full of vital nutrients which your body will appreciate after a strenuous workout.
