Don’t have time for a long workout?

It’s a common misconception that a workout should last at least an hour or it’s not worth it. A good workout should include a warm up, your main session (whether that’s strength training, endurance or conditioning), cool down and stretches. This can all be achieved in under an hour. You may think that the longer you workout, the better. You can still get the satisfying feeling of finishing a good workout in a shorter time, you can do this by reducing the number of sets but also reducing the rest period between them. You can also increase the number of reps in a set but in return reduce how long you rest for or how often you stop to look at your phone. 45 minutes of hard work will benefit you more than 1 1/2 hours of faffing about!
