Lentils are a great source of protein and cane be thrown into soups or curries.

A study done on 3,000 men found those with the higher intake of lentils and other legumes had the lowest rates of diabetes.

Lentils can also benefit gut health by improving bowel function and slowing the rate the stomach empties which helps digestion and prevents spikes in blood sugar.
