A new way to count lengths when you are swimming.

Rather than counting normally when you are swimming try using the alphabet to count and take your mind off the swimming as well. For example as you swim the first length think of a male name beginning with A then on the second length B and so on and so forth until you reach Z then you know you have completed 26 lengths. Then start again using the same pattern but thinking of something different like male names, colours, sports etc.
